NOTICE OF AN ANNUAL AND GENERAL MEETING.
As you know the AMAS Inc is the only aeromodelling association that offers every single member the right to participate directly and vote in the operation of our organization at a national level. Our democratic process is our great strength since it enables us to retain our focus where it needs to be, on our members. As a member of the AMAS Inc, you are encouraged to take part in the process. Please refer to the AMAS Inc Constitution for further detail which can be found via the website.

NOMINATIONS
Nominations for committee positions are to be forwarded to the Secretary AMAS before noon on 21st August 2026.
Nominations (refer Constitution Clause 19) must be proposed and seconded by another financial member and include some details (a brief resume) regarding the nominee for the information of members. Nomination forms are available via the website documents tab.

Notices of motion and Agenda items have been called for since the preceding General Meeting and continue being called for now.
Notices of motion and Agenda items are to be forwarded to the Secretary AMAS via email or conventional mail before noon on the 4th August 2026.
All notices of motion received and agenda items will be forwarded to members/clubs on the 5th August 2026 for initial membership consideration. Refer Annex A.
Any submissions from members/clubs requesting amendment to any notice of motion will be put to the member/club who initially submitted the motion for consideration. If the member/club agrees to any amendment of the motion previously submitted, the motion shall be amended and presented to membership in the revised form with any other Notices of Motion.
The finalised Notices of Motion will be emailed/circulated on the 20th August 2026 to members/clubs to vote for or against the motion/s. All votes are to be received by the returning officer at the office of the Secretary AMAS by noon 3rd September 2026.

Annex A.
Item 1: Nomination for Life Membership.
That the society award Life Membership to member OZ 3288 Mr Robert Edwards.
Rationale: Over the past seven years, Robert has demonstrated tireless leadership, selflessness, and vision that has permanently shaped the Australian Miniature Aerosports Society.
Under his guidance, the society has achieved milestones, including creation and ongoing development of the AMAS national field, major management influence in the ongoing AMAS (5 year rolling) business model, background campaigns towards increasing membership.
Robert has consistently worked behind the scenes with the Treasurer to maintain the societies financial health and advocate for the hobby with local/state and federal authorities, advocating freedom for the hobby to flourish.
Beyond administrative excellence, he embodies the spirit of our society by personally mentoring young/new and old pilots and upholding the highest safety standards. Robert has given his time without expecting nor receiving any reward, always putting the societies future first.
Thank you for considering this nomination for our highest honour.
Item 2: Honorariums.
That the Treasurer and Secretary honorarium be increased by $1000.
Rationale: The society continues to expand with a significant increase in membership requiring an increasing daily (seven day) member and society administrative support/assistance function
Current Treasurer honorarium: $2000
Current Secretary honorarium: $10,000
Society honorariums are paid annually in February.
Item 3: Club grants initiative.
That the initial club grants scheme be continued on an annual basis.
Rationale: The society continues to expand and in alignment with the continued fiscal management provide back to the society membership an annual club support/assistance scheme. As is the case with the initial scheme delivery, the scheme continue to be placed within the society budget ongoing.
